Doha, Qatar: Average 5G download and upload speeds recorded in Qatar are the fastest among Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) states for 2023, revealed internet analytics company Opensignal.
In a June report reviewing the 5G experience in the GCC region, the website noted that nearly every GCC country has an upward of 200Mbps average download speed.
Qatar topped the list of Gulf countries with a 312Mbps average download speed.
Similarly, Qatar also boasts the fastest average upload speed for 5G in the region with 29.3Mbps.
In a separate report reviewing global mobile network experience, Opensignal stated that its app users in Africa and the Middle East “observed their fastest download speed on Ooredoo’s network.
Ooredoo’s network registered 53.2Mbps download speed for users in Africa and the Middle East.
