As Eid Al Fitr is being observed with an array of celebrations and activities across the nation, companies have launched special deals and offers to make the festival season more memorable for citizens and expatriates.
Several hotels in Qatar have opened their properties to bring exciting staycation offers. Companies and showroom promotions include offers on apparel, gold jewellery, food and beverages and gift items.
Gold stores in the country are seeing higher demand and supplies. A gram of 24-carat gold was trading at QR243 while 22-carat gold was trading at QR229, yesterday. “Eid is always an important time for jewellery showrooms because sales increase during this period as customers look for new designs of jewellery,” a sales executive told The Peninsula. During this period several customers shop to gift valuables to their dear ones,” he added.
On this occasion, Ooredoo Qatar has announced exclusive offers. It stated on its website, “Stay connected to loved ones back home this Eid; recharge with Dawli QR20 from 21-23 April 2023 and we’ll give you 1GB bonus data compliments of Ooredoo.”
It also has deals on the latest devices valid from April 18 to 28. “We offer you the following devices - Apple Watch S8 series, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max, Samsung S23, My-Fi,” it noted.
Vodafone Qatar said in a tweet recently, “Get your favourite devices this Eid from Vodafone Qatar and don’t miss the latest releases of 5G enabled devices, smart devices and mobile Wi-Fi devices at great prices.”
Malls, hypermarkets and stores across the country have also lined up a number of exclusive deals for shoppers. The Eid collection with special offers and gift vouchers on selected items and products include garments, footwear, outfits, cosmetics, accessories, jewellery.
Also, electronic and bookstores are having lucrative deals and offers on smartphones, laptops, tablets, headphones, power banks, smart watch, gadgets, home appliances and other electronic items.
Residents and visitors can enjoy a slew of activities at the Lusail Boulevard Festival on the second, third and fourth day of Eid Al Fitr from 4pm until 1am. The plethora of activities include traditional performances and dances, carnival performances, international street arts, light and laser shows and other family activities such as food carts and kiosks. The sky of Lusail City will sparkle every day, starting at 10pm, with fireworks and drone displays.
Qatari Diar is working to provide safe celebrations throughout the days of the festival, which will be held along a 1.6 kilometer stretch from the Lusail Boulevard to Al Saad Square and the four Lusail Towers.
