Children enjoying a boat ride at Katara as Eid celebrations continue across the country.
To ensure its visitors enjoy Eid Al Adha holiday, the Cultural Village Foundation — Katara has offered many entertainment activities, especially for families, such as children’s games on the beach, boat rides, and swimming. Katara has also designated places for families. Interested participants can take advantage of these activities and win prizes from Katara.
“During such beautiful occasions, Katara usually offers a set of entertainment activities for its visitors across different ages. Children can enjoy many free games on the beach,” Salem Al Marri, Director of Public Relations Department at Katara, told Qatar Radio.
“Due to the exceptional circumstances to fight COVID-19, we wanted to have more celebrations, but we have to adhere to the precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the coronavirus,” he added. Meanwhile, on the first day of Eid, Katara surprised its visitors with a magnificent fireworks display that filled the sky with colours.
Salem Al Marri noted that there are other activities on Katara Beach, which open daily from 3.30pm until 11pm, and entry is at nominal prices. Free children’s games are available.
He said the public could participate in several activities, including virtual competitions like ‘The most beautiful dress in Eid.’ He said there would be a specialised committee to select the winners of these competitions. In a post on its Twitter account, Katara said: “Share your children pictures with us in ‘The most beautiful dress in Eid’ competition for three days of Eid Al Adha. Valuable prices are waiting for the winners.”
Regarding conditions, Katara said that the pictures entered for the competition should be of high quality, and Katara has the right to post them on its social media platforms. The deadline for sending the pictures is today at midnight.
Katara’s ‘Congratulate us on Eid’ competition will also continue until today at midnight. The participants have to write Eid congratulations under the post on Katara’s Instagram. Participation is accepted in both Arabic and English, and two winners will be announced daily.
