VAFI is formed to provide a platform to elevate Indian visual artists in Qatar. “An entity that will aid in identifying, nurturing, and promoting Indian visual artists to blossom, produce art of international quality and eventually become celebrated,” said a statement from the group. “This will be accomplished by collective participation, active engagement, dialogue and advocacy of artist members, leading art authorities, and a select few corporate organisations in Qatar.”
Members of VAFI will consist of artists, who engage in Visual Arts, volunteers and office bearers. VAFI also plans to form a Board of Advisors consisting of well known artists of International repute from Qatar and India.
Memberships will be open to Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin. VAFI will also consist a Jury Panel; whose primary function is to professionally evaluate artists and their works of art, aiding in the selection and induction as Artist Members of VAFI.
VAFI has planned an Art Exhibition. The Jury Panel will select paintings created by the participants during the Painting Workshop, for the exhibition.
