Effective managers in the modern environment must-have skills that span far more than one aspect (KAM14 l 1033). Managers have the leadership or management behaviours and skills necessary to develop teams, supervise and mentor employees, facilitate meetings, and foster a relaxed working atmosphere. They are capable of planning well and managing resources to reach organisational goals.

Competent management is crucial for any business to realise its potential and flourish. A manager who encourages strong management skills can get an organisation closer to its purpose and vision or corporate objectives with less resistance from employees and outsiders (Noo19 l 1033). The role managers in Qatari businesses play needs different abilities, and a manager’s responsibilities extend far beyond simply directing thought to ensure the entire organisation works together smoothly. Problems and failures are more likely to occur without such inadequate managerial behaviour.

Positions that require problem-solving and team-building skills benefit significantly from managers with strong managing abilities and behaviours. Such competencies enable managers in Qatari enterprises to demonstrate managerial behaviour with their colleagues and understand how to effectively manage the staff, facilitating the organisation’s smooth operation. For instance, managers at Qatar National Bank possessed advanced planning and long-term thinking abilities. The success of the QNB’s long-term objectives and ambition relies on the management’s advanced planning behaviour to put in place a governance practices structure that ensures the safety of the firm’s operations, defends customers’ rights, and benefits the bank’s owners and other partners (QNB21 l 1033).

Managers in Qatari organisations utilise their management skills to evaluate the level of communication inside a team, which is crucial to the successful functioning of the team as a whole. The effectiveness of a manager’s communication skills and behaviour with team members is a critical factor in the efficiency with which projects and tasks are done and, ultimately, the company’s achievement as a whole. Organisational communication behaviour in Qatari firms through managers is the sharing of information among employees, whether formal or informal, top-down or bottom-up, and is essential to its success (Str21 l 1033).

Making better decisions through management skills and behaviour contributes to the achievement of the company while making incorrect decisions might lead to disappointment or poor productivity (Erk17 l 1033). In order to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the organisations in Qatar, it is necessary to make clear and correct decisions.

Every decision a manager makes is subject to their accountability and behaviour, and they must be willing to accept accountability for the outcomes of those actions. Managers need to have a strong decision-making ability to make decisions, which often determines whether or not they are successful in meeting organisational objectives.

Great managers in Qatari firms use their problem-solving skills to handle and find solutions to the numerous difficulties that can develop during typical working hours. Managers are responsible for developing managerial behaviour that first entails recognising a particular issue or circumstance and then locating the most effective means to address the issue and get the most accurate option.

It is the capacity to find solutions to problems even though the situations at hand are unfavourable. A manager stands out from the rest of the workforce and inspires trust in their managerial behaviour when it is evident that they have excellent problem-solving abilities (Ana17 l 1033).

Managerial behaviour in Qatari businesses are also, heavily influenced by managers’ motivation levels. This is an additional skill that affects managerial actions of managers’ capacity to inspire their teams. Workers and other interested parties are motivated to act in a given way by emphasising their gains. Managers choose from a wide range of motivational strategies, with the most effective depending on factors, including corporate culture and team members’ characters (Sho21 l 1033). Intrinsic and extrinsic are the two primary forms of motivation used by managers.

A successful organisation’s most crucial component is effective managerial behaviour. Managers are responsible for ensuring that the firm’s operations are carried out correctly and progressing in the right direction. Hence they must have the requisite abilities and range of skills to carry out the managerial roles and responsibilities efficiently.
