Doha: ARMYs, the ardent fans of world-renowned Korean pop band BTS, showered Jungkook with support as he delivered a stunning performance in the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Jungkook performed 'Dreamers', an official FIFA World Cup soundtrack, with home-grown singer Fahad Al Kubaisi at Al Bayt Stadium ahead of the inaugural match between Qatar and Ecuador.
The pair brought their 'A-Game' with powerful vocals and impressive dance moves in front of a packed Al Bayt stadium.

ARMYs did not miss the chance to show support for Jungkook as some watched the performance live in Al Bayt Stadium, with a few even flying from South Korea and Japan.
ARMYs were also spotted at various fan zones and designated viewing screens in Qatar, such as the FIFA Fan Festival and The Pearl.
Meanwhile, miles away from the venue, fans around the globe kept the hype and thrill going on social media with messages of support and cheer for the historical performance. The hashtags #Dreamers2022, #FIFAKook, and "So Proud Of You Jungkook" also trended on Twitter.

ARMYs weren't the only ones tuning in as his ever-supportive BTS members praised his much-awaited performance.
"Gather ’round now, look at me," Jungkook sang in a part of the song, and it was indeed what the fans did.
Present at Al Bayt Stadium, Trisha Jeanne Sotto, an ARMY resident in Qatar was one of the fans who witnessed the showpiece live.

"Legendary," was how Sotto described the 25-year-old artist's performance with Fahad Al Kubaisi, commenting: "The performance was spectacular. As expected Jungkook exceeded himself again and gave a legendary performance."
"His voice live is even more beautiful and blended well with Fahad," Sotto enthusiastically recalled.

Hours before the opening ceremony, Sotto was able to distinguish ARMYs in the crowd through a BT21 Cooky doll, ARMY Bomb (the fandom's official lightstick), and fellow fans who snapped pictures with her personally crafted Jungkook bubble head.
The upbeat vibe and meaningful words of 'Dreamers' came to life with beautiful vocals and synchronized dance moves for the historical event. Preceding this, global talents were showcased, each exuding Qatari tradition and tributes to worldwide culture, all perfectly embodied in compelling and heart-warming performances.

"It was an amazing experience and the opening ceremony is beyond words. The culture that was showcased and the impact was phenomenal," Sotto said.
Jungkook capped his day with a Weverse live, a habit that BTS upholds with every massive event, and expressed his love and gratitude to the fans.

'Dreamers' dropped today, November 20, on all streaming platforms hours before the FIFA World Cup kicked-off. ARMYs have more to look forward to as an official music video will also be released on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
