Doha: Qatari channel Al Kass TV announced that it will broadcast the opening ceremony and the first match of the FIFA World Cup between Qatar and Ecuador match on its free-to-air channels.
Al Kass TV presenter Khaled Al-Jassem announced this during the Majlis program and he said “this day will be exceptional, and Al-Kass channel will broadcast the opening ceremony and the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador on Al Kass one (Free to air channel)."

Prior to this beIN Media Group also announced its plan to broadcast 22 matches of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on the free-to-air beIN SPORTS channel in the Middle East and North Africa region to celebrate the first edition of the tournament hosted by the Arab world.
