The second annual Doha College 10-km run will take place on Friday November 16, it was announced by the organisers yesterday. Already 500 people have signed up to enjoy the two 5-km laps around the Aspire Zone, David Thompson, the race organiser, said. “The Doha College 10-km is a community event open to anyone 16 and over. It is all about getting out and being part of a mass event. It doesn’t matter if you run, jog or walk. The run is self-financing and the QR200 entry fee includes a T-shirt, breakfast and chip timing. There are prizes for the fastest three in each age and gender group, and any runner might win a prize in the free raffle. “There will also be a raffle for our volunteers,” Thompson added. Aspetar will provide medical expertise while further support will be extended by the staff at Aspire.
