Doha: Weather inshore tonight until 6am on Sunday will be scattered clouds and chance of light rain, Department of Meteorology said in its weather report, warning of thundery rain expected in the north of the country.
The weather bureau also said that the cloud amount is expected to increase gradually with a chance of scattered rain mostly light to moderate on intermittent periods until the beginning of Tuesday, April 23, 2019, and may become thundery at times accompanied with strong wind causing rising dust in some areas.
“Weather charts indicate the influence of a low pressure system over the region accompanied with mostly southerly moderate wind,” the MET said in a tweet.
Temperature is expected to drop by about 10°C and return to the April average ending the recent heat wave due to wind direction shifting to northwesterly from Monday evening until Thursday.
Fresh to strong wind is likely exceeding 28 kt at times causing rising dust and low visibility below 2 km in some areas with high waves exceeding 12 Ft at times.
Qatar Meteorology Department urged all to be cautious and avoid going to sea.
