Doha: Kuwait Oil Company declared a state of emergency following an oil spill in the country.
In a statement, Deputy CEO for Administrative Affairs and spokesperson for the Kuwait Oil Company, Qusai Al-Amer stated that the company declared a state of emergency, following the occurrence of a leakage in the western part of the country.
Al-Amer confirmed that there were no injuries resulting from the leakage and that production operations were not affected, in addition to not detecting any toxic gases at the accident site.
The statement further added that the concerned teams in the Kuwait Oil Company are present at the site and dealing with the accident according to the procedures followed in the company.
