Kuwaiti health ministry announces 11 new coronavirus cases

Kuwait  - Eleven new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were discovered in Kuwait within the last 24 hours, bringing the total of infections to 159, said the Kuwaiti Health Ministry on Friday.

The Ministry's Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad revealed that out of the 159 in total, 22 cases recovered and 137 are still receiving treatment.

He indicated that there are five cases still in the ICU. Some 574 individuals had finished the quarantine period, he affirmed.

Earlier today Kuwait's Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah announced that four patients recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the total number to 22.
