Doha: The State of Qatar welcomed the extension of the grain export agreement through the Black Sea for 120 additional days, hoping that such extension would help avoid food crisis and reduce the grain prices globally.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the full appreciation of Qatar for the efforts of the United Nations and the Republic of Turkey in extending the agreement, which facilitates the unfettered flow of grain supplies and food without hurdles and contributes to bolstering and ensuring global food security.
