NHL: Penguins cruise to huge triumph

NEW YORK: Beau Bennett scored a goal and added two assists to lead Pittsburgh to a 4-0 win over Montreal at the Bell Center yesterday.
Steve Downie, Brandon Sutter and Sidney Crosby also scored for Pittsburgh while goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 27 shots he faced.
Carey Price made 18 saves for Montreal, who saw their six-game winning streak snapped.
Cal Clutterbuck, playing on his 27th birthday, scored in the opening minute of the second period to begin a stretch of four unanswered goals by the New York Islanders in a win over Tampa Bay at Nassau Coliseum.
Mikhail Grabovski and Ryan Strome scored later in the second for New York while defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky made it 4-1 with a power-play goal in the first minute of the third period.
Casey Cizikas added a breakaway goal at 8:55 to again extend the lead to three goals. Goalie Jaroslav Halak recorded 26 saves for New York, allowing goals from Alex Killorn and Ondrej Palat. Tampa goalie Evgeni Nabokov made 31 saves.AGENCIES
