Speaking on the infrastructure progress in terms of stadiums, he said, in general we have eight stadiums that will host the FIFA World Cup 2022, for example Al Janoub Stadium, Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, Lusail Stadium in Al Daayen area which is still in progress and is scheduled for completion at the end of this year, Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, scheduled to be completed this year,  Al Thumama Stadium, scheduled to be completed in this year as well, Education City Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium and Al Bayt Stadium which are completed already.

He said, all potential suppliers/bidders must register with the Supreme Committee in supplier portal by submitting the relevant documentation at http://www.qatar2022.qa/en/supplier/registration

The registration form requests information such as organisation details – address, contact information, commercial registration documents, policies and certificate compliance, workers welfare, health safety and security, environmental sustainability, quality, and business profile – the products and services available from your company.

SC public tenders are posted on the SC website on regular basis and specific instructions are provided with each tender opportunity.  If a non-local company is awarded the contract, it must register in the commercial register, or designate a local agent, within thirty days from the day following the date of signing the contract, he added.
