Businessman-turned-author Amine George Kassis’s book ‘Train Smart Eat Healthy’ was launched on Saturday on the sidelines of the Doha International Book Fair.

Published by Dar Al Sharq for Printing and Distribution, the book is dubbed as a guide to the correlation between nutrition, sports, and physical activity, and its impact on longevity.

‘Train Smart Eat Healthy’ outlines daily nutrition and workout plan for best outcomes with simple achievable steps in nutrition and sports. According to Kassis ‘Train Smart Eat Healthy’ can be the ultimate handbook in a reader’s wellness journey.

“The pandemic reaffirmed the idea that our health is still our most valuable asset and wealth, and it was my inspiration for writing the book,” said Kassis speaking to The Peninsula about the reason behind authoring the book.

‘Train Smart Eat Healthy’ provides basic knowledge for anyone who wants to change their lifestyle and go toward better health.

“It focuses on the daily nutritional practices that people should primarily adopt in a straightforward, logical, and thorough manner, along with the sports and physical activities for healthy living,” said Kassis.

Kassis, a Lebanese national and long-term Doha-based resident with an academic background in law and investment banking, has had a passion for sports and wellness since his childhood. He is a CPD-certified trainer in fitness, strength, gym workouts and bodybuilding. He has also participated in acclaimed sports events.

Motivating the readers to follow a healthy lifestyle, he said, “It’s never too early or too late to start investing in your wellness as this is the only guaranteed long-term investment that will never deceive you.”

Sharing about his writing experience, he added: “It took me over two years to complete the book.” Kassis said that he took the writing task parallel to his business, which posed some challenges, especially during the pandemic.

“So, I had to put my business needs first.” On the other hand, he said, he was very eager to devote all of his free time to pursuing his passion for spreading knowledge and raising awareness about wellness and promoting long life.

‘Train Smart Eat Healthy’ is available at the gift shop of 321 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and the Cafe-Deli restaurant in the City Center mall. It will be soon available at the Alif bookstore.
