Doha: Residents and visitors can enjoy a slew of activities at the Lusail Boulevard Festival which will start from the second day of Eid Al Fitr at 4pm until 1am.
The activities will continue throughout the days of the festival as part of the celebration. The details about the festival were revealed during an event organised by Qatari Diar.
The activities include traditional performances and dances, carnival performances, international street arts, light and laser shows and other family activities such as food carts and kiosks.
Moreover, the sky of Lusail City will sparkle every day, starting at 10pm, with fireworks and drone displays.
Throughout the days of the festival, the Lusail Boulevard will be pedestrianised which will give festival visitors a unique opportunity to enjoy the festive atmosphere in one of the most famous tourist destinations in Doha.
Qatari Diar is working to provide safe celebrations throughout the days of the festival, which will be held along a 1.6 kilometer stretch from the Lusail Boulevard to Al Saad Square and the four Lusail Towers.
It is planned that the festival will include a special event that will come as a surprise to the audience which is the unveiling of the much-anticipated mascot, an homage to the revered legacy of Qatar.
The Eid festival is expected to attract a large numbers of visitors, which will contribute to stimulating the movement of domestic tourism.
The revealing of mascot is a thrilling and memorable event that is set to captivate the audience with excitement and anticipation. The show will tell the origin story of the mascot and announce which iconic character will become the heart and soul of the celebration.
The festival of fun will include a range of performances for both kids and adults to mesmerize the audience and offer entertainment for all ages. There will be shows for children on the stage, folklore performances, dynamic acts on the streets featuring circus artists and dancers.
The three day parade will be immerse in celebration as the Lusail Eid Al Fitr festival parade will showcase 350 performers carrying a range of props, with three activations daily for visitors to enjoy.
As a daily highlight of the festival, guests can look forward to the breathtaking fireworks and synchoronised drone show, displayed everyday at 10:30pm to light up the night sky in a stunning display of colour and artistry. Also the Plaza will feature a DJ stage and a photo point with the festival mascot.
The General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior has appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic police and abide by traffic diversions to ensure the security and safety of all festival-goers, and advise using alternative roads designated for vehicles.
