One maid died and three others were injured   after a huge explosion in a villa due to a gas leak in Ajman.

According to khaleejtimes, civil Defense said that they received a call from residents of the neighbourhood at 11:30am reporting the loud sound of the explosion. A team of firefighters and rescue unit from Al Jarf fire station were dispatched. They reached the site in less than two minutes and swung into action.

The team found that the blast occurred due to a leak in the gas cylinder kept  inside the kitchen while the three maids were cooking. The rescue team removed the bodies from the rubble. Of the four maids, one died on the spot.

Police rushed the three maids to Khalifa Hospital and shifted the body of the deceased to the morgue.

Civil Defense handed over the site to the forensics laboratory to investigate the cause of the leak and explosion.
