Doha: Defending champion Abdulrahman Al Malki defeated Azlan Amjad to retain the Professional title at the InterContinental Squash Tournament, organised under the banner of the Qatar Squash Federation.
In the final, Malki won the first two games but Amjad came back to clinch the next two and tied the scores. The holder got back into his groove and played well to take the fifth game and match.
The Women’s crown was bagged by Mayar Al Saka, who defeated Alaa Hisham in straight but tough games by 11-6 11-8 11-8.
Mohamed Sawy emerged the winner of the Men’s Level A category when his rival Gregory Billbult did not take to the court due to injury. Sadam Mehawesh bagged the Men’s Level B crown in four games. The first two games were shared and then Mehawesh lifted his game to win the next two easily. William Roland finished on the top in the Men’s Over 45 category. In the final, he posted an 11-7 11-7 13-11 victory against Mohamed Naiel.
InterContinental Doha Resident Manager Gilles Nicolas and Qatar Squash Federation Board Member Mohammed al Khulaifi were present at the prize distribution and gave away the trophies and gifts. QSF Technical Secretary Gamal Rasmi conducted the closing ceremony.

Under-15: Hamad al Amry beat Abdelaziz Ishaq 11-6 11-8 10-12 11-9.

Men’s Level B: Sadam Mehawesh beat Abdel Wahab Ishaq 11-0 8-11 11-2 11-7.
