Doha: Ambassador of of Korea to Qatar H E Joon-Ho Lee stressed that the 2022 National Day is special since it coincides with Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which has great significance in reminding both Qatar and worldwide nations of the true meaning of loyalty, solidarity, pride, and unity between the leadership and the people.
The Ambassador congratulated Qatar, H H the Amir, Qatari government and people, on this happy anniversary, which has a special character this year, coinciding with the hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. In a related context, He esteemed Qatar’s great preparations for a successful World Cup, in terms of the facilities, infrastructure, modern stadiums, cooling equipment amongst others that the State of Qatar has materialized.
The Ambassador praised Qatar’s effective contributions to worldwide development, its humanitarian assistance to poor and needy countries, its continuous important mediation role in resolving many conflicts, such as the case with Afghanistan, in addition to Qatar’s internationally praised efforts in striving for peace and prosperity in the world, reflecting the principle of solidarity globally, and at the national level.
He said that Qatar National Days slogan celebration of its National Day this year, “Our Unity, Source of Our Strength,” is a national value and serves as an opportunity to demonstrate the spirit of unity and solidarity, not only in Qatar, but externally also.
The Ambassador pointed out that this years slogan also reflects footballs basic value, with the World Cup succeeding in bringing together peoples and cultures from the World over to Qatar and setting the value of integrity in competing for the World Cup.
