Qatar National Day will be marked today across the country with an array of celebrations at different venues while the main event will be national parade to be held at Corniche at 2.45pm with the participation of MoI, Emiri Guards, Lekhwiya, Civil Defence and other governmental bodies.
There will also be aerial and sea displays by the air force and navy, said a report posted on the website of Qatar National Day (QND) Celebration Committee. The Corniche road will be closed from 10am.
Fireworks show including music, lights, and giant fireworks will be held in the evening at Corniche.
Associated activities will be held across country which will be attended by thousands of people.
Lusail Sports Complex will host cultural parade and performances of 7,100 students from 18 Asian schools from 10am to 9pm where entry will be allowed for students, their parents and families only.
Wakra Sports Club Stadium will host cultural performance and shows from 2pm to 5pm in association with Kerala Muslim Cultural Center and Pakistani singers’ concert will be also organised from 5pm to 9pm.
Cultural performances and traditional shows by Indian, Sri Lankan, Nepalese and Bangladeshi community teams will be held from 3pm to 9pm today at Barwa Al Baraha, Football Ground. Musical programs will be also organized by Asian Orchestra.
Asian Accommodation City, in Industrial Area, will host parade by teams, cultural performances and traditional shows by Indian, Sri Lankan, Nepalese and Bangladeshi community teams and Musical performances by famous Asian orchestra today from 3pm to 9pm Asian Town, Cricket Stadium will also host parade, cultural performances and musical shows from 2pm to 9pm. There will be also a cricket tournament.
Cultural performance, traditional shows and parade by Asian community teams will be held at Shahaniyya, Near Farm House in Industrial Area from 3pm to 9pm while the cultural performance, traditional shows and musical show by Bangladeshi, Nepalese, Indian, Al Khor community teams and Asian Orchestra will he held at Al Khor, Barwa Workers Recreation Complex today from 3pm to 9pm
