Another exciting weekend is here and there is lots happening in town. Movie screenings, spring bazaar, art exhibitions and lots more - we have listed down all of them for you.

Movies under the stars    

DFI presents movies under the theme “In Search of Lost Time.” This program showcases tales of characters in search of lost time, war-torn realities or a life-threatening sickness.

The movies that will be screened are Alice and The Illusionist, there will also be a shorts program featuring short films such as Weekends, Black Barbie, Wild life, etc. A masterclass with Scott Curtis will also be held. The ticket price for the event is QR 25.

Fanqaar

Sixty-three works by 20 leading Indian visual artists are on show at Fanqaar Exhibition at The Gate Mall.

Visitors can enjoy the kaleidoscope of paintings depicting various themes and wide-ranging styles representing various art movements from modern and contemporary to cubism and expressionism to surrealism and traditional contemporary.

In different mediums and sizes, the works on display at the five-day exhibition are a celebration of the richness of Indian art, culture, and heritage with a diverse range of subjects visually presented by the artists coming from various backgrounds.

Spring Bazaar

Entertainment World Village is organising a spring bazaar which will host vendors from all over the world selling local and traditional arts and crafts, food and beverages. Apart from the bazaar, children and adults can also enjoy the new rides the theme park has to offer.

Entry fee to park is QR 5.

Mersad Berber Exhibition

Katara presents the art exhibition for the late prominent Bosnian artist Mersad Berber.

With a wide range of artworks by the late artist, the exhibition reflects the rich heritage and culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its beautiful nature.

The 28 exhibited paintings document some major turning points and events in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina such as the Serbian conflict, the Bosnians and Ottomans in addition to other paintings that showcase the beauty of the Bosnian horses which the artist adored such as “Horse Head” and the “Horses of Bosnia.”

Asian Athletics Championships Doha 2019

Nearly 700 elite Asian athletes will be in Doha for the 23rd Asian Athletics Championship competing for 186 medals in 21 men’s events, 21 women’s events, and a mixed relay event.

The competition will see the usual continental powerhouses go head-to-head for the number one spot in Asia’s athletics.

To be held in morning and evening sessions, the tickets for the events are price at QR 30. The morning sessions start at 8am and the evening sessions at 4pm.

Pearl Qatar Triathlon

The Pearl Qatar is a hosting the Qatar National Triathlon Series. The event includes a kids aquathlon, sprint, bike race and many more. The event has activities that caters to adults and children.

The price for the event ranges from QR 50 to QR 300.

"Tunisian Malouf" Concert

Katara in cooperation with the Embassy of Tunisia in the State of Qatar present the "Tunisian Malouf" Concert.

Admission for children under 12 years of age is prohibited.

BigB MeetUp 

Organised by Bosco Menezes, BigB MeetUp is an initiative to inspire, inform and educate. The theme this weekend is THIS ABILITY - Championing people who are differently abled. Four special needs speakers will inspire guests with their life stories. The master of ceremonies will be Ahmed Al Shahrani. Qatari Para Athlete abdu Rahman, G Book of World Record Holder Faisal AL Mosawi, Qatari artist Mariam Al Mulla, Life Coach Mohamed Al Hayder, DEAP Qatar Director Jose Saucedo and Champion Volunteer Ismail Bin Yusaf will be the guests.  
Menezes will also be launching the Big B Fotografi Awards during the event.
