Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has issued Emiri Decree No 1 of 2013 appointing the Board of Directors of the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).
The new board of directors is as follows:
H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Saoud Al Thani, Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Governor, as Chairman; H E Sheikh Fahad bin Faisal Al Thani, QCB Deputy Governor, as vice-chairman; H E Khalaf bin Ahmed Al Mannai, representing the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as member; H E Hamad bin Ali Al Mannai, representing the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as member; Michael Ryan, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Regulatory Authority, as member; H E Dr Hessa bint Sultan Al Jaber, as member; H E Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, as member.
The Emir also issued Emiri Decree No. 2 of 2013 appointing Nasser Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Shaibi as QFMA Chief Executive Officer.
The two decrees are to be effective from the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette. QNA
