Doha: Two Qatar players will be seen in action in the Qatar Circuit 2 squash tournament main draw which begins tomorrow at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. Sixth-seed Abdullah Mohd Al Tamimi and Syed Azlan Amjad will be the two Qatari players who will be seen in action in the main draw of the $15,000. The two are the 12 players who will feature in the main draw and will be joined by four players from the qualifying rounds, to be played on Saturday and Sunday. Three more Qatar players Abdulrahman Al Malki, Abdulwahab Al Ishaq and Umair Umar Zaman will be vying for a place in the main draw and will see action in the qualifying rounds Main round matches of the tournament begins from December 20. The other players in the main draw are Omar Abdel Meguid of Egypt, George Parker of England, Ammar Altamimi of Kuwait, Danish Atlas Khan of Pakistan, Martin Knight of New Zealand, Khawaja Adil Maqbool of Pakistan, Jens Schoor of Germany, Mazen Gamal of Egypt, Addeen Idrakie of Malaysia and Ivan Yuen of Malaysia. The quarter-finals will be played on Monday and will be followed by the semi-finals the next day. The final will be held on Wednesday. In November, Mohamed Reda of Egypt defeated Jens Schoor of Germany to win Qatar Circuit I. The 26-year-old negotiated a tough five-game-thriller with home favourite Al Tamimi in the semi-final while Schoor eased past Ammar Altamimi to reach the final. The Peninsula
