Doha: FIFA on Monday noted that it is making provisions to mitigate any probable eventualities that may arise with regards to accessing stadiums and other World Cup Qatar 2022-related venues via the Hayya card on mobile phones.
Speaking at the one-month countdown press conference, FIFA World Cup COO, Colin Smith, noted that there are multiple options for all eventualities if fans are not able to show their Hayya cards at stadiums on their mobile phones.
"There will be charging stations at the Hayya Resolution Centre, and fans may also opt to have their physical cards scanned to gain entry," Smith said.
The Hayya Card is a smart technology that the World Cup organisers are providing to each fan attending the tournament, and which, in combination with a valid match ticket, will permit the applicant to access stadiums to watch a match, among other services.
