DOHA: Vodafone Qatar unveiled details of its world’s first luxury telecoms plan — London Edition — in London, in an exclusive event held at the world famous Harrods store. The event was attended by VIPs, and Vodafone Qatar and Vodafone UK’s management.
Vodafone’s presence and strength in both Qatar and the UK enabled the creation of this first of a kind innovation — an invite-only limited edition plan for both Qatar and UK numbers that’s easily managed through a dedicated account manager, combined with the very best experience, service and security features.
Addressing guests, Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani Al Thani, Chairman of Vodafone Qatar, said, “We at Vodafone are proud to leverage our local and global expertise to launch this first of a kind innovation making it the first time you have one plan for both your UK and Qatar numbers. We are certain the London Edition will change what you can expect from your telecommunications provider forever with its rich plan, exclusive privileges, access and effortless ease.”
London Edition was born out of a demand from Qatar’s frequent travellers to the UK to have a unified service across both countries giving customers incredible value and unmatched service on their Qatar and UK numbers. A large number of prospective clients already have UK numbers they use while in the UK and abroad — Vodafone now makes it easy for them to manage their international numbers with one single worry-free plan that is payable through a single bill. The single plan innovation for UK and Qatar numbers is a first in the consumer market.
With London Edition, both Qatar and the UK are regarded as home countries, eliminating all roaming charges on the Qatari and UK London Edition SIMs for both destinations. In addition, customers receive a total of 50GB and 30 hours of international calling to use between Qatar and the UK on both SIMs, in addition to 2GB of roaming data for all Vodafone Passport countries.
Kyle Whitehill, CEO, Vodafone Qatar, said: “Vodafone has excelled in the Qatari market with innovative plans and value-added services such as valet parking, airport lounge access and concierge services. With London Edition, Vodafone has further pushed the envelope to offer bespoke services to its customers who will receive special treatment for a truly exceptional London experience while in the UK.”
Vodafone has partnered with world-leading service providers and retailers to be able to offer the very best in lifestyle management in London and beyond plus all service requests for Vodafone’s London Edition clients will be managed by a dedicated account manager, no matter where in the world the client might be.
