Doha: Barwa Bank has promoted Talal Ahmad Al Khaja (pictured) to Chief Communications officer.
Al Khaja will oversee marketing and communications and public and shareholder relations in line with the bank’s evolution and development. Prior to joining the bank in 2009, he worked across private sector institutions and organisations.
Holding a Master’s in business management, a bachelor’s degree from Qatar University, and professional certifications, he has amassed over nine years’ experience in administration, marketing, public relations and corporate governance. During his tenure at the bank, he has contributed to acquisitions of the group’s affiliate companies and subscription management in capital financing in 2011. His efforts led to the establishment of the group’s Investor and Shareholder Relations Department, demonstrating his ability to weather business challenges and lead with proactive value-added initiatives.
Khalid Yousef Al Subeai, Acting CEO, Barwa Bank Group, said: “Talal’s efforts have consistently met and exceeded our shareholder and investor expectations, building long-standing relationships with them and tackling obstacles and challenges with a solution-oriented approach. As we look to expand with a focused, progressive Shariah-compliant offering, we focus on growing the role and depth of each of our verticals. Talal’s leadership and expertise will help us realise this goal.”
