Doha, Qatar: Doha Metro has announced that replacement buses will run on Friday, August 18, 2023, on Red Line as part of the network maintenance.
Replacement buses for Route 1 will be one way from Al Wakra to Lusail QNB while Route 2 will be one way from Lusail QNB to Al Wakra. Route 3 will be shuttle service between Free Zone and HIA. While frequency of buses on Route 1 and 2 will be every 5 minutes, those on Route 3 will be every 15 minutes.
Doha Metro added that replacement buses will not stop at Ras Bu Fontas and Katara stations.
In another announcement, it stated that metrolink M126 and M129 will operate to/from Free Zone Shelter 2 instead of Ras Bu Fontas Station every 20 minutes. While all metrolink and metroxpress services will operate as per normal, the metroxpress service areas around Katara Station can be booked to/from Al Qassar Station instead.
