New York: Los Angeles Rams receiver Mike Thomas was suspended without pay Friday by the NFL for four games in the upcoming season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.
Thomas will miss the Rams' first four games of the 2017 campaign – home games September 10 against Indianapolis and September 17 against Washington and road games September 21 at San Francisco and October 1 at Dallas.
The 22-year-old second-year player would be eligible to return to the roster on October 2 ahead of an October 8 home game against Seattle. Thomas can take part in all pre-season practices and games.
No specifics regarding substances were revealed regarding what Thomas took under NFL policy citing medical privacy rules. Thomas made three catches for 37 yards over 15 games last season for the Rams.
