Ambassador of Turkiye to Qatar H E Dr. Mustafa Goksu
Doha: Qatar and Turkiye enjoy strong ties and the bilateral relations between the two countries have been growing over the years.
Speaking to The Peninsula, on the sidelines of the inauguration of fourth edition of the Build Your House Exhibition (BYH) 2023, Ambassador of Turkiye to Qatar H E Dr. Mustafa Goksu praised the opportunities for Turkish companies to promote their products during the exhibition. He said, “Qatar and Turkiye have excellent relationship in all fields and we trying to do that with all institutions for long term.”
“We are attaching importance to ‘Build Your House Exhibition’ as we would like to promote our products and companies about design and furniture. This is a good opportunity to show our ability in what we are doing in Turkiye. Thanks to Qatar to give us this good environment to promote Turkish companies and furniture,” he added.
The ambassador further said, “We have a lot of Turkish companies from Turkiye in Qatar. After FIFA World Cup 2022 our big projects have been over, therefore, we would like to concentrate on villas and house projects. So, it is a good opportunity to enter this field through this exhibition and such events.”
Around 250 exhibitors are participating in this year’s event from the housing, design, and construction fields. Also, international companies are showcasing their advanced design and leading materials. The Peninsula talked with some Turkish companies who have their stands at the exhibition.
A Samaet Kayaci, International Sales Director, Erhal Plastik said, “We see Qatar as a promising market and see potential in this market. This is our first year in the exhibition in Qatar.” He added, “I see potential in the country as normally fly screens are popular in the summer times in the European and Asian countries.”
“We produce glass balcony, pleat and fixed fly screen/curtain accessories of different kinds and colours for more than 40 countries. We are also producing pvc and aluminum, window and door accessories. Also, we have some copyright products that makes us more advantaged in the market and have maintained our position as one of the leading manufacturer companies in Turkey, he added.
Hulya Duran, Assistant General Manager of Dooray Fire Door Systems said “We are a company from Tukiye working for fire door systems. We have worked with 32 countries. We sell doors of different kinds – standard and special sizes. For us it is the first time we are exhibiting here but we have sold doors to Qatar before.
