Cb makes key senior management appointments

Doha: Commercialbank (Cb) has made five key senior management appointments in the retail and corporate banking leadership teams with immediate effect.

“This move comes as part of the bank’s keen interest to further develop and enhance its retail, branch and personal banking services. These senior appointments will leverage the Bank’s strategic strength and support leading the business to even more profitable growth,” a release issued by the bank said yesterday.

Khalifa Nasser Al Rayes has been appointed Senior Assistant General Manager and Head of Private Banking, bringing a wealth of experience to this new role. Khalifa has been with Commercialbank for eight years, serving in numerous senior retail banking functions.

Reham Sabri Thawabi has been appointed AGM and Head of Retail Branches. Reham has been with the bank for 17 years and has held a number of senior Marketing and Retail banking roles, including playing an instrumental part in the creation of the Bank’s Sadara Wealth Management business.

Bouchra A M Sebbata has been appointed AGM and Head of Sadara Wealth Management. Bouchra brings to this role considerable experience having worked in various leadership roles in Corporate Branches, Trade and Enterprise Banking, and more recently as a Vice President in Private Banking.

Roya Khajeh has been appointed AGM and Deputy Head of Cards and Payments. Throughout her career at Commercialbank, Roya has gained extensive retail banking experience. She has been a cornerstone in the Retail team in Commercialbank for over 12 years, serving in a variety of senior roles.

Aref Mohammed Tayyeb has been appointed AGM and Head of Corporate Branches. Throughout his career spanning over 30 years at Commercialbank, Aref has worked extensively across the bank’s retail, corporate and Islamic banking businesses.
