Doha: The 35th Trade Expo Indonesia, which is being held virtually for the first time this year from November 10-16, is inviting Qatari investors to participate in one of the biggest business-to-business (B2B) exhibitions in Asia.
The digital expo showcases premium Indonesian products and services including manufacturing products, furniture & crafts, food & beverage, fashion, accessories, and multi-products. This year’s event allows investors and entrepreneurs to conduct business online real time; making it easier for international buyers, including Qatari investors, to meet online with Indonesian suppliers so as to save time and cost for travel and accommodation. “We have the virtual Indonesian expo which is now taking place in Indonesia. It’s a great concept where the world can actually go to the event online. This is a new concept where a number of business opportunities can be reached online through international business matching with Indonesian businesses. The link can be easily accessed so businesses in Qatar can also connect to the Indonesian expo,” Farhan Al
Sheikh Al Sayed, President of the Qatar Indonesia Business Council told The Peninsula.
Admission to the expo is free, and participants can visit www.tradeexpoindonesia.com to register and attend the event online. The virtual expo features a trade exhibition, business matching events, business forums and seminars, business counselling, and a digital section for trade deals for buyers and suppliers.
Trade relations between Qatar and Indonesia, which is the largest economy in South East Asia, are expected to further increase in the coming years with business sectors from both sides actively seeking new investment opportunities in both countries. The country, which is also the world’s fourth-most populous nation, plans to triple its trade volume with Qatar to $3bn in the next two years.
