RAF builds nine mosques in Mali

DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has opened nine mosques in Mali, at a cost of QR502,000.
The project worth was funded by donors from Qatar and launched in six provinces.
Mosques are small, medium and big, with capacity ranging from 100 to 300 worshipers. A total of 42,000 worshipers new can offer prayers in these mosques in Sikasso, Bamako, Ségou, Mopti, Koulikoro and Kayes provinces. All mosques are fully furnished and have necessary services. Additional services like Islamic library and water well have also been built adjacent to them . The project is part of RAF plan to build mosques and Islamic centre all over the country. Mali’s population has crossed 16 million. More than 94 percent of total are Muslims, Al Sharq reports.
