Keralite Engineer Forum officials and guests at the function.
Keralite Engineer Forum (KEF) held a family get-together at Royal Gardens recently. An array of cultural programmes were presented by the members and their families. The programmes started off with the cultural portrayal of mythical king Mahabali’s arrival to the accompaniment of drums and Pulikali, a colourful folk art from Kerala, India.
The chief guest of the day was the first lady IPS officer from Kerala, ADGP Vigilance, R Sreelekha. The First Secretary in Indian EmbassyP S Sasikumar was also present.
The Chairman Mibu Jose, Chief Guest Sreelekha and Sasikumar offered felicitations. General Convener Thomas Kannamkara welcomed the guests and General Secretary Sajeet George proposed vote of thanks.
The cultural programmes by the members and families made the celebration very colourful. The Thiruvathirakali, a traditional dance performed by the ladies, cinematic dances performance by the KEF member’s children, Kuchipudi, a classical Indian dance, performance by one of the member’s child, won many applause from the guests. This was followed by a magic show by Jayan Orma .
