Doha: Behavioural Health Care Centre, an affiliate of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, represented by Community Awareness Department, held a summer camp for the students of the Military Secondary School within the framework of promoting the behavioural health concept and moral values in the educational sector.
The camp featured panel discussions that targeted the interests of young people, their aspirations and ideas in order to identify the most prominent challenges they encounter, and create the wholesome environment that foster the adoption of positive and proper behaviours for them.
In addition, the camp included interactive activities carried out through laying out a myriad of existing challenges to the lead teams, and a training workshop on the importance of skills in life and was of learning them.
The camp events also included other panel discussions with diverse topics in which the trained youth had participated through laying out their ideas to be further discussed.
“Through this camp we intend to refine the experiences of youth and instil the moral values in their hearts, said Al Anoud Al Marri, head of the preventive and awareness programmes department at Behavioural Health Care Centre.
She added, “Therefore the centre pursues to support and promote the behavioural health, in addition to empowering the youth to further participate with their ideas in the discussed topics and direct them to the correct methods for prevention from the menaces of behavioural abnormalities.”
