One of the top concerns for women while heading out during summers is the makeup. Even a few minute walk from the parking to the interiors of our office can mess up our look if not properly done. And there is nothing messier than a face with melting makeup. And this happens not just because of the sweat and oil that your skin produces during summers but also because of improper application of the wrong beauty care products.

One of the best and easiest look to opt for during summers would be nude makeup or minimal makeup. Irrespective of the event you are getting ready for, super-heavy makeup during summers is just a put-off. Less is more during summers – be it for a beach party or a late night office party.
Skip the base entirely and opt for concealers to cover spots and blemishes. Just dab on a slight coat of waterproof concealer using your fingers and you are good to go. This product is a woman’s best friend during summers as it does a good job of hiding away those uneven skin, fine lines, dark circles and pimples, if any.
For a sheer glow, use a tinted moisturizer. This would even out the skin tone and add radiance without making you feel heavy. Apart from this, it is also hydrating and healthy for the skin plus most moisturizers also contain sunscreen for added protection against UV rays.
To shine strategically, use light-catching liquid highlighters. Apply a touch of highlighter on top of cheekbones, brow bones and down the bridge of the nose (not all the way to the top of the nose or it will look oily). With a little practice you will be able to get the right dewy look as if you just moisturized your skin.
Use a lip stain rather than a lip gloss or lipstick as it has better staying power and looks most natural. Opt for one with SPF so as to not just add colour but also protect against UV rays.
Brighten your eyes using eye shadow. For a summery and smoky eyes look smudge burgundy or deep copper eye shadow all over your lids. Opt for a long-wearing cream to powder eye shadow with a glimmer to define your eyes.
How to store your beauty care products
There have been instances when perfumes smell weird or mascara have dried out or the hand cream has gone thin. The best thing to do is keep your skin care kit cool by keeping them in a refrigerator. If you can’t find space in the fridge, then the next best option would be a dark drawer at the ground level. For your perfumes, store them in a box and in a shadowed corner of your house. Nail polishes even in winters stay best in the fridge. The bottle fit neatly in the egg tray and the life of the product is much longer. Also every beauty product has a shelf life indicated on it. Always check the best before date and use it accordingly.
