Doha: Motocross riders from Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and UAE will be seen in action the Losail Motocross Championship, the first edition which kicks off today Losail Motocross track.
The new motocross track, located next to the Losail International Circuit, has a length of 1.6 kilometres and a total of 15 jumps, informed officials of Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, the organisers of the event.
The race will be contested in two different categories, MX1 and MX2.
Riders will compete together in all the sessions of the day, according to race regualtions.
Meanwhile, there has been a change in the schedule of the event. The free practice remains at the same time, at 10.30 but the races will now start one hour earlier, instead the earlier announced time of 1.30pm.
Race 1 will roar to action at 12.30 and the second Race 2 at 2:00pm. THE PENINSULA
