Doha: As temperatures dip, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), in their effort to ensure protection against seasonal influenza, is offering free flu vaccines at Doha Festival City.
Starting from January 16 to 26, 2023, from 1pm to 9pm, the HMC will offer the vaccines to provide protection against flu.
Winter season is closely linked to a higher rate of respiratory infections and allergies, where influenza is the most common said one of the doctors at Primary Health Care Corporation. This makes it imperative for all, especially for those most vulnerable to infection to get the vaccine.
In addition to getting the vaccine it is also advised that one covers their nose and mouth when they sneeze or cough, wash their hands if they touch contaminated surfaces and objects, avoid touching their face, eyes, nose, and mouth if their hands are contaminated, avoid crowded places, and minimise contact with others if they feel unwell.
