DOHA: Alfardan Automobiles has recorded a considerable growth in the sale of top BMW Group models in 2012. The flagship BMW 7 Series was the company’s best selling model.
Offering new levels of luxury, comfort and power, the new and refined 7 Series model went on sale in Qatar in the 2nd half of the year and has been a strong driving force behind the company’s 2012 sales achievements. Other top performing BMW models included the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle with 37 percent growth and BMW 5 Series with 15 percent growth.
Commenting on the impressive performance of 2012, Mohammed Kandeel (pictured), General Manager of Alfardan Automobiles, said: “Our strategies, planning, employing the best people and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction have clearly paid off as shown by these remarkable results. This was combined with the launch of six beautifully-designed and technologically-advanced new models during 2012 which helped drive our sales growth upward.”
Mini, the world’s fastest growing small premium car brand, recorded another year of exceptional sales with 31 percent increase over 2011.
This is one of the most successful years in the brand’s history in terms of Qatari sales and an impressive result when operating in a market that predominantly favours large, luxury cars. Mini continued to grow its community of fans and Mini friends.
Mini sales were led by the Mini Countryman – the first Mini with four doors and four wheel drive capabilities.
