The participants of “The Light” programme met for the first time on Friday at Wakra Stadium. The event was attended by hundreds of course participants and public. ‘The Light’ is a Quran study programme, in which the course is delivered through correspondence, online and contact classes in various languages including English. It has more than four thousand participants from Qatar. The course is conducted under the auspices of Qatar Indian Islahi Center (QIIC) with the support from FANAR.
The program was inaugurated by Abdul Hameed Madeeni, President, Kerala Jamiyathul Ulama. Adv Ismail Nanminda presided over the function.
Sayeed Farooqi, noted educationist from Kerala, was the key note speaker. Sayeed Farooqi urged participants to convert the lessons to the real knowledge, and practise them in their real life, and exchange them with others in the society.The Peninsula
