Qatar No. 2 in fuel price

DOHA: Qatar ranks No. 2 after neighbour Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest petroleum producer, in terms of low retail petrol prices in the Gulf.
Petrol here is the cheapest after Saudi Arabia, priced at $0.21  a litre. In Saudi Arabia, the rate is $0.14.
The fuel is the most expensive in the UAE in the region, at $0.74.
Kuwait, where the fuel is retailed for $0.23, ranks No. 3 after Saudi Arabia and Qatar in terms of cheaper motor fuel.
In Bahrain, the retail rate is $0.27, and in Oman $0.31, local Arabic daily Al Watan reported yesterday, citing the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
