Doha: The Public Works Authority — Ashghal — has announced the closure of Barwa Village entrance in Al Wakrah and an alternative traffic signals entrance at about 2.6km towards the area.
The closure begins tomorrow and continues until the completion of East Corridor project.
Traffic to the village will be diverted to the alternative entrance with the possibility of turning right or left or making U-turns.
The closure aims to facilitate construction and excavation works of the project, during which the entrance to the village and to Al Wakrah Road will be affected.
Ashghal urged motorists to drive with caution and pay attention to new signs for the closed and alternative entrances.
