Kuwait Reports 55 New COVID-19 Cases, One Death

Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health on Tuesday reported 55 new coronavirus (COVID-19) infections and one fatality in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of infections to 1,355 and deaths to three.

At a press briefing on Tuesday, Kuwaiti Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that 26 patients were in intensive care nine of them are in critical condition and 17 stable. 

He added that the death cases reached three after confirming the death of a Kuwaiti female (79 years) in the last 24 hours, noting that she was in the intensive care unit.

Those currently receiving treatment at hospitals reached 1,176 patients said the spokesperson, adding that 146 individuals have completed quarantine in the last 24 hours.

Al-Sanad pointed out that the total recovery cases stood at 176 after Minister of Health Sheikh Basel Al-Sabah announced the recovery of 26 new patients in the last 24 hours.

He reiterated the need that everyone take all means of personal protection and follow the instructions and recommendations issued by the ministry and the official authorities in the State of Kuwait related to containing the spread of the virus, in addition to following up official accounts and sources to find the latest news and updates.
