Washington: Apple has announced its intention to add a real-time translation feature to its AirPods.
This feature will allow users to translate conversations in real time, and will be linked to the upcoming iOS 19 update.
According to Bloomberg News, the feature will work by playing the translated version of the speech through the user's AirPods, while the translated response will be played through the other party's iPhone, facilitating communication between speakers of different languages.
Apple noted that it will be working on releasing a new generation of AirPods Pro, along with another version equipped with built-in cameras that are said to use artificial intelligence technologies to analyze the surrounding environment.
These features are expected to be unveiled with the iOS 19 and macOS 16 updates in mid-2025, along with significant changes expected to the company's system design.
