Katara has exempt all investors and owners of restaurants and cafes from rent and other fees like electricity and water.
This step comes as Katara had earlier announced suspension of all activities from tomorrow for two weeks to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
The latest announcement of rent exemption was made by Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara, on statement posted on Twitter.
He said that exemption from rent and other fees will start from tomorrow, March 15, 2020 until further notice.
Katara has also instructed their staff to work from home for two weeks to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
