Doha: Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to the State of Qatar H E Frans Corum said that the relations between Qatar and his country have a strong friendship, based on mutual respect and common interests that are developing day by day.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day, the Ambassador indicated that during the past few years, a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU) were signed between the two friendly countries. The recent agreement was during the official visit of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade H E Peter Szijjarto to the State of Qatar, where they signed an agreement on mutual exemption of visas between the two countries for diplomatic and private passports and discussed many common issues.
Along with the previous agreements and MoU, there are a number of agreements and MoU that are expected to be signed in the near future during one of the high-level visits between the two friendly countries, pointing to the clear growth in the volume of trade exchange, which is expected to increase in indicators after the signing of the agreement to encourage and protect investments between the two friendly countries, Frans Corum confirmed.

The Hungarian Ambassador indicated that hosting the Arab FIFA World Cup Qatar 2021 is a real mini-experience and preparation for the upcoming large organisation of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Through this, the responsible committees gain more experience. Qatar has cumulative experience in organising global and regional championships in many sports activities, which witnessed remarkable organisational success, he pointed out.
