19-year-old Amjad, who won a few local tournaments, will be looking forward to continue his good form from the national level to the international.
Amjad is the lone competitor from the host nation in the qualifying round. Another Qatari Abdullah Tamimi features in the main draw.
Players from Pakistan, USA, England, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, France, Malaysia, Australia, Kuwait, Jordan, Scotland, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand, Austria, Wales and Pakistan are taking part in the tournament.

In 2013, Tamimi skyrocketed to the top of the World Junior Circuit rankings and retained his Dutch Under-19 Open trophy in Amsterdam, as well as claiming the fourth spot at the World Junior Championships in Poland.
