If you have an iPhone older than 2017, then you likely won't be able to enjoy the new features in Apple's iOS 16 as it is available for download only for owners of the iPhone 8 and onwards.
For the first time in several years, Apple is dropping support for older models. Previous versions of iOS have been available for phones right back to the iPhone 6s, but with the release of iOS 16, things are different.
Apple says the new operating system offers all-new personalization features, deeper intelligence, and more seamless ways to communicate and share. Other features include a customisable lock screen with widgets, better parental controls, a new safety check to quickly stop sharing your location, updated Maps and Home apps and more.
