The Beaches and Islands Section at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has cleared Al Wakrah Port of tyres, fishing nets, Gargoors and other submerged objects in addition to plastic cans and timber from the wharf. Fishermen and the owners of ships and boats were urged not to dump waste in the sea as part of efforts to preserve the marine environment and the general view of the area.
