Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced the recall of 2009-2012 MAN trucks due to the possibility of lack of air in brake pipes leading the vehicle to stop.
According to a ministry statement, the vehicles recalled have numbers WMAHW2ZZ2AM549730-WMAHW2ZZ2AM549761 — WMAHW2ZZ3AM549770.
The ministry said the recall is within the framework of its coordination and follow-up to ascertain the extent of dealers’ commitment to follow up vehicles’ defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
The ministry stressed that it will coordinate with dealers to follow up maintenance and repairs and communicate with customers to ensure implementation of procedures to fix defects.
It urged consumers to report any irregularities to the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat which receives complaints, suggestions and inquiries through various channels.
