Sidra Medicine has announced the launch of three new private paediatric evening clinics geared towards offering children in Qatar more healthcare choices.

The phased opening of the evening clinics will expand with private paediatric consultations for general paediatrics, dermatology, allergy and immunology.

Families do not require a referral for the private evening clinics and can directly request for a consultation, Sidra Medicine said on its social media accounts.

“We are launching three new private paediatric evening clinics: general paediatrics, dermatology, allergy and immunology. Call 40033333 to book a consultation,” it said.

The clinics will be open on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday) from 3 to 8pm. Patients can pay either through insurance or self-pay.

In May, Sidra Medicine extended its outpatient clinic hours with the launch of private paediatric services in the evenings.

The phased opening of the evening clinics started on May 22, with private paediatric consultations with General Surgery, Urology, and Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT).

“We are thrilled to launch the evening clinics, which are part of Sidra Medicine’s strategy to offer families in Qatar more choices regarding their health and wellness,” said Prof Ziyad M Hijazi, Chief Medical Officer at Sidra Medicine, during the launch of private paediatric services.

He also emphasised that Sidra Medicine will expand the evening clinics over the months, to cover the wide spectrum of its clinical services, including women’s services, while assuring to remain committed to offering our patients safe and top-quality care.

While, in line with Sidra Medicine’s strategic approach for women’s services in 2022 new programmes were announced in March.

An Executive Women’s Health programme will be launched by third quarter of 2022 and it will offer an annual comprehensive health and wellbeing review for women aged 18 and older. They will receive a detailed assessment with evidence-based advice and personalised care plans.

By end of the year, the Well Woman Health Center will open at Sidra Medicine and it will be dedicated to the management of midlife women and beyond by providing a comprehensive and holistic approach to menopause.

Sidra Medicine is also offering a special service to support women who have a background in medical challenges related to pregnancy, also known as high risk maternal medicine.

Sidra Medicine currently offers a cervical cancer screening programme for women.

The hospital works closely with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) as part of a national ‘screen-and-treat’ programme where following the screening at Sidra Medicine, patients are immediately referred for treatment. The hospital has also started to offer human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines for girls aged 12 and above.

Also the new maternity ward at Sidra Medicine features luxury suites with patient bedrooms with ensuite heated bathrooms, a lounge area with a pantry and guest bathrooms.
